Have you ever been disappointed when you failed to import Panasonic P2 camcorder recorded videos to Premiere Pro (CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6). Well, it is not the Adobe Premiere Pro’s fault. In fact, even Adobe Premiere Pro does not work with the Panasonic P2 video codec.
Adobe Premiere Pro supports MXF ( P2 Movie: Panasonic Op-Atom variant of MXF, with video in DV, DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO or AVC-I formats; Media eXchange Format; Avid MXF Movie, XDCAM HD Movie). However, Premiere Pro still can’t totally support MXF video files, especial Panasonic P2 MXF.

Step4: Click the convert button to convert Panasonic P2 MXF video to MPEG-2 for Premiere Pro (CS3, CS4, CS 5, CS6)
